This community is for working moms in the Bluegrass region. While the group is centered around Lexington, KY, all working moms in Kentucky are welcome to join.
This group was started in January 2015 because the admins realized there are unique challenges and concerns involved with being a working mom. Sometimes it is hard to see the online presence in larger groups because working moms can be busy and have less time to post. This leads to working mom concerns being lost, falling to the bottom and buried by other threads while waiting for another working mom to have time to log in and see it. As the admins saw working mom posts being buried, they decided to create Bluegrass Working Moms, where those concerns and chances for connections to other working moms wouldn't be missed.
While members are different ages and may make different lifestyle choices, this group is a community for support and problem-solving with all topics related to being a working mother. We do not endorse any particular parenting style and welcome open discussion. You do not need to be actively employed to be a member of this group, but events and topics often cater to the working mom experience.
